Under the hood, the STI S209 features a SUBARU BOXER engine and a larger turbocharger for increased boost - along with an uprated fuel pump, injectors, and a remapped engine control unit. The result is 341 horsepower and 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds (Manufacturer Estimate).

Optimized Intake, Exhaust, and Drivetrain
The STI S209 features a new low-restriction exhaust that both reduces back pressure and highlights the SUBARU BOXER engine's unique rumble. It combines a redesigned intake system and lightweight flywheel to improve mid-range response and acceleration.
Intercooler Water-Spray System
Underneath the iconic hood scoop, you'll find an intercooler water-spray system. A quick pull of the column-mounted paddles activates the system to drop engine intake temperatures for a burst of increased power on demand.
The Best-Handling S-model Ever
Exclusive Dunlop® Summer Performance Tires and 19-inch Forged Wheels
STI engineers worked in conjunction with the tire experts at Dunlop to develop the summer performance tires' composition and design - all specifically formulated for the needs of the STI S209. They're mounted on forged 19-by-9-inch wheels - a half-inch wider than standard - designed for lightness as well as strength to deliver quicker suspension response and featuring a 265 mm section width for even more traction. This extreme grip helps the S209 develop an estimate of over 1.0 g of lateral acceleration on the skid pad.
STI-tuned Chassis and Suspension
The STI S209 has motorsports in its bones. STI engineers made extensive tuning changes to the suspension and body to improve cornering grip, turn-in, and handling balance based on their experience in motorsports and in on-track testing. Enhancements such as STI-tuned Bilstein® dampers, STI-designed front and rear draw stiffeners, a flexible STI tower bar, and pillow-ball suspension bushings result in significantly improved grip, handling balance, and stability.
Brembo® Performance Brakes
The Brembo performance braking system features silver-finished six-piston front and two-piston rear monoblock calipers along with large cross-drilled rotors. New sport brake pads have been selected for excellent braking feel and greater fade resistance.

The STI S209 features performance-first design elements and limited-edition badging throughout the exterior. Flared fenders at all four corners accommodate the widened wheel and tire package. The carbon-fiber rear wing and front underspoiler work together to create more downforce and stability. And the carbon-fiber roof doesn't just save weight, it also improves body rigidity.
Race-Inspired Wide-Body Design
Incorporating lessons
learned from the WRX STI Nürburgring Challenge racecar, the STI S209 is
nearly 2 inches wider for more stability and better cornering. This
wider body allows space for the 19-by-9-inch forged alloy wheels and 265
mm tires - the widest ever fitted to an STI model - providing more grip
than ever before. The S209 offers two color combinations - WR Blue
Pearl with Satin Gray wheels, or Crystal White Pearl with Satin Gold
wheels.
Track-Ready Interior
With its Recaro performance front seats, including an eight-way power driver's seat, the STI S209 features a cockpit that elevates precision driving and ergonomic comfort. An Ultrasuede-wrapped steering wheel gives you confident control, lap after lap, and a Multi-Function Display shows the status of key systems at a glance. There are also exclusive S-model red and silver trim and accents throughout the cabin, including S209 badging on the front headrests and the vehicle's limited-edition number on a plate behind the shifter.
