More Than a Car Sale: Investing in the Hearts of Our Community - Larissa V
Castle Hills Elementary. Poteet High School. Canyon High School. IDEA South Flores. These are just a few of the 15 schools, teachers and classrooms across the San Antonio area that benefited from our Teacher Classroom Sponsorship Program throughout the month of August. What started as a simple way to thank educators who purchased or leased a Subaru from our retailer became something much more meaningful. By the end of the month, nearly $5,000 in donations had been provided to local classrooms through sponsorship checks, school supplies, and gifts designed to support the teachers who work tirelessly for our community's students. But the real story wasn't about the donations. It was about the teachers behind them. For every teacher who purchased a Subaru from our retailer, we wanted to give back in a meaningful way. Each educator received a special gift bag filled with school supplies, a certificate of classroom sponsorship, and a classroom sponsorship check. It was a small gesture intended to recognize the incredible work teachers do every day, but the impact it had was far greater than we ever expected. Throughout the month, our team took great pride in personally preparing the sponsorship packages, coordinating presentations, and celebrating each educator as they received their classroom support. This retailer initiative quickly became a cause that our staff wholeheartedly embraced, creating meaningful connections with teachers throughout our community. As news of the classroom sponsorships spread, the reaction from educators was overwhelming. Again and again, teachers expressed how much the support meant to them, often saying, "This is amazing for the kids." Their gratitude was heartfelt and genuine, not because of what they were receiving personally, but because of what the sponsorship would mean for their classrooms and students. In many cases, schools were so appreciative that principals became involved in the presentations, and several districts joined in recognizing the partnership. It became a celebration embraced by entire school communities. What touched us most was the sincerity of their reactions. Many teachers became emotional as they spoke about their classrooms, their students, and the challenges they face throughout the school year. Some couldn't stop thanking us. Others greeted us with heartfelt hugs, and before long, we had lost count of how many hugs were shared throughout the month. Those hugs said more than words ever could. They were expressions of appreciation, encouragement, and the feeling that someone recognized the hard work and sacrifices that often go unseen. Time and time again, we were reminded that teachers give so much of themselves to their students. They spend countless hours preparing lessons, inspiring young minds, and creating opportunities for children to succeed. Many invest their own money into supplies and resources simply because they refuse to let their students go without. For these educators, the sponsorship wasn't about receiving recognition. It was about creating opportunities for the hundreds of students they inspire every day. The smiles, the tears, the hugs, and the endless words of thanks all carried the same message: support like this matters. Not because of the dollar amount, but because it reminds teachers that they are valued. It lets them know that their dedication has not gone unnoticed and that their community stands beside them. As August came to a close, we found ourselves feeling just as grateful as the teachers we set out to honor. Grateful for the opportunity to support educators. Grateful for the relationships that were built. And grateful for the chance to witness firsthand the passion, selflessness, and heart that teachers bring to their profession every single day. The nearly $5,000 in donations may have helped purchase supplies, resources, and opportunities for local classrooms, but the impact reached much further than that. A Summer of Second Chances - Angie A
This summer, North Park Subaru partnered with God's Dogs Rescue to host our Subie Summer Pet Adoption Event, a beach-themed celebration dedicated to one important goal: helping animals find the loving homes they deserve. The day was filled with sunshine, smiles, and plenty of summer fun. Employees and customers enjoyed free Kona Ice while spending time with the amazing dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens available for adoption. To make it even easier for families to welcome a new companion into their lives, North Park Subaru proudly sponsored all adoption fees. What made the day truly special was the incredible outcome. By the end of the event, 12 pets had found their forever families, including 7 cats and kittens and 5 dogs and puppies. Each adoption represented a fresh start for an animal in need and the beginning of a lifelong bond between pet and owner. At North Park Subaru, we believe that being a part of our community means giving back and supporting causes that make a real difference. Events like Subie Summer remind us that when people come together with compassion and a shared purpose, wonderful things can happen. We are grateful to God's Dogs Rescue, our employees, our customers, and everyone who helped make the event such a success. Because of your support, 12 deserving animals are now enjoying the safety, comfort, and love of a forever home. The Subaru Love Promise Champions from North Park Subaru recently had the incredible opportunity to tour Morgan's Multi-Assistance Center (MAC), and it was truly a memorable experience that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that MAC is much more than a healthcare facility. It is a place where individuals of all abilities are welcomed, supported, and empowered through compassionate, specialized care designed to meet their unique needs. As we toured the facility, we were amazed by the wide range of services available under one roof. We learned about their therapy programs, optometry services, surgical care, primary healthcare offerings, and the many resources available to individuals and families navigating disabilities and other healthcare challenges. Every space was thoughtfully designed to create an environment that is both accessible and comforting. One of the most inspiring stops on our tour was the hair salon. This is not just any salon. It is specially designed to serve individuals with disabilities and autism, with trained professionals who understand sensory sensitivities and work to ensure each guest feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Seeing how something as routine as a haircut can be transformed into a positive and stress-free experience was incredibly moving. We were also fascinated by the multiple sensory rooms throughout the facility. These spaces provide calming, supportive environments tailored to individuals with sensory processing needs, allowing them to feel comfortable and regulated during their visits. The attention to detail and commitment to creating inclusive experiences was evident in every corner of MAC. What stood out most was the heart behind the mission. Every room, every service, and every team member reflected a dedication to improving quality of life and ensuring that people of all abilities have access to the care and support they deserve. The tour gave us a deeper appreciation for the life-changing work being done at Morgan's Multi-Assistance Center each day. We left feeling inspired, grateful, and excited about the possibility of building an even stronger partnership in the future. Dogs of every shape and size could be seen throughout the ballpark. There were energetic puppies eager to meet new friends, senior dogs taking in the sights at a more relaxed pace, and plenty of proud pet parents excited to share a night of baseball with their best companions. Down the third base line, the North Park Subaru tent quickly became a popular destination. Throughout the evening, visitors stopped by to say hello and pick up special goodies for their pups. Dogs eagerly accepted treats while owners collected giveaways and learned more about North Park Subaru's commitment to supporting pet-friendly community events. One by one, happy dogs visited the tent, tails wagging as they received their gifts. Some proudly showed off their new goodies while others paused long enough for a quick photo before heading back to their seats to enjoy the game. As the Missions battled on the field, the spirit of Bark in the Park could be felt throughout the stadium. Fans cheered for every hit, every strikeout, and every run scored, while canine guests soaked up the excitement alongside them. Because of the kindness, dedication, and positivity she brought to North Park Subaru every day, we wanted to give something back. Together, we purchased every item on her wishlist. This gesture was about more than school supplies. It was our way of saying thank you. We brought our community together for a fun-filled day featuring delicious food, local pet vendors, adoptable pets, and opportunities to learn more about volunteering and fostering at the Animal Defense League of Texas. Thanks to NPS's generous sponsorship of all adoption fees, nine pets found loving homes, creating happy new beginnings for pets and their families. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together to support the pets in our community. They brought warmth, dignity, and a reminder that even in the midst of life's hardest battles, no one stands alone. Partnering with Blood Cancer United, formerly known as The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, they stepped into a space where courage is tested daily and hope is sometimes fragile. For patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, comfort is not a luxury. It is a necessity that can make an unbearable day just a little more manageable. As each blanket was gently placed into a patient's hands, it became more than fabric. It became a symbol of care. A quiet embrace during moments that can often feel isolating and overwhelming. North Park Subaru partnered with UTSA Athletics during the 2026 Men's Baseball and Women's Softball season to support Haven for Hope in a meaningful way. For every strikeout made at a home game, Subaru donated twenty dollars to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness in San Antonio. By the end of the season, the total reached six thousand dollars. Every strikeout became more than a moment of excitement on the field. It became a moment of hope for someone in need. This partnership showed how powerful it can be when a local business and a university come together with a shared purpose. It strengthened the community, supported a vital organization, and reminded all of us that small moments can create a big impact. It was more than a season of sports. It was a season of giving, compassion, and community pride.
